Cornwall Porthpean v Dowlish Wake (played at Cornwall CC)
On Tuesday July 12th the Porthpean team of Cornwall Croquet Club hosted Dowlish Wake in their final match in the Southwest Federation Golf Croquet League competition.
With ideal weather the teams enjoyed a day of competitive matches with Porthpean going into the lead by lunch time, 7 1/2 to 4 1/2, including 3 drawn matches.
After lunch some close fought games brought the final score to 11 1/2 to 8 1/2 in Porthpean's favour.
The 2011 season has seen Porthpean play well overall, the team members having won 3 of their matches out of the 6 matches played.
