Cornwall stuck at it to the bitter end to gain a win in their home match versus Budleigh Salterton.
The two sides were at 3-all with one remaining game to be completed, Tony Backhouse (Cornwall's Captain) v. Michael Peters (Budleigh Salterton), with Peters leading by 2 points.
In the final turn of the game Backhouse hit in from across the court and constructed a difficult 3-hoop break, thus winning the game by 1 point and securing the match for Cornwall.
