The Club's second Anual General Meeting was held on Monday 14th March in the Pavilion at the Community College. Members decided by a majority vote to continue playing on the outfield of the Cricket Pitch at the College with use of the pavilion for storage and social occasions. John Anson has kindly offered to head a team of grass cutting members in order to endeavour to improve the quality of the grass on the playing area.

A varied social programme has been prepared by Janet Howard and Sylvia Anson, details will be circulated with the next newsletter. The playing season will kick off with an evening party on Monday 11th April at 6.30pm, £1 per head. Please give details of food contributions to Janet Howard.

Regular Monday Club sessions in the afternoon and evening (except for bank holidays) will start on 18th April. Coaching by Tony Backhouse will begin on Monday April 25th. Members need to book in for this, Reg Wapling has details.

A complete set of playing equipment will have been received by the Club from the Croquet Association by the time that this Newsletter goes to Press. This will be a great boost to the Club for the coming season; we really appreciate the support of our parent body.
